Media rights and provenance
The register distinguishing publishable assets, material under review and excluded content until creator, source, licence, releases and allowed crops are documented. Use this page as initial guidance: every changing detail requires an identified source and a current verification.

Rights are separate for every element
Editorial copy, data, photographs, maps, trademarks and external links may have different owners and licences. Presence on the site creates no single licence and does not automatically grant reuse rights for all material.
Original project copy and each media item follow their own terms. A source citation proves provenance but does not replace the item’s licence terms.
Names and marks remain with their ownersNames of authorities, businesses and destinations identify sources or described parties; they imply no affiliation, endorsement or representation.

Open Data Hub and linked media
Open Data Hub records retain the declared licence and holder. Publication of the parent data record is not permission to copy a photograph, webcam stream or external resource: that media needs its own licence.
Open Data Hub documentation states that record LicenseInfo does not extend to Streamurl, Webcamurl or other external child nodes. Media without a separate licence is not copied.
Photographs require complete detailsEditorial photographs require file, creator, origin, licence, holder and attribution. If one is missing, the media remains excluded or under review.

Open maps and photographs
Open sources still carry obligations. Attribution must be legible, close to the work and linked to the licence when required; changes and reuse may add ShareAlike, personality or other conditions.
When OpenStreetMap data is used, credit must identify OpenStreetMap and make the origin and Open Database License reachable; a public map cannot hide that attribution.
Wikimedia Commons: file by fileFor each file we check creator, original page, licence, required attribution and modifications. Being hosted on Wikimedia Commons does not remove those checks.
